WELCOME TO THE RESOURCE CENTER
As with any medical emergency, a mental health emergency can be life threatening. Most of the time mental health emergencies are those involving the threat of suicide or the occurrence of an actual suicide attempt. Other types of mental health emergencies may involve the threat of harm to another person. When you call 911 say that someone is experiencing a mental health crisis, explain the diagnosis if you know it, and describe the nature of the emergency.
